WhoValley in Sweden
Easter was spent in Vemdalen in Sweden (literally: Who-Valley) with our friends Stefan & Ewa and Håkan & Maria plus children, in their beautiful house. Debbie, Olivia and I was supposed to stay Thursday to Monday and Anton was supposed to stay on for 10 days in order to rally go for it on the slopes - something he really succeeded with. He broke the the record in high jumping on Monday 5 April and that changed our plans slightly...

Hallelujah for Skaterham
Who would have thought that Anton and his friend Elliot would go to church without an argument? Might it have something to do with this church in Caterham is "hot as hell"?
Slightly renovated church pews and in the middle of the picture is a blurred version of Anton as he jumps in the "Foam Pit"! Check the film below with him jumping!

King of the castle, king of the castle...
Bilden togs i morse måndag 22 mars.
As of January I now work full time with building banks and develop new investment alternatives in Africa and my office during weekdays is in the Uppsala Castle in the tower pictured. This picture was taken this morning 22 March.

Frogs, Garlic and Hairy armpits
Boose-cruise to France on 21 March.

Moahahahahahaha
My Brother will thank me one day for dealing with his unruly daughter!

Hennes respons? "Öh what"!
When we were in Sweden my brother and his children joined us for a day in the house and they told us that his daughter Victoria was suppopsed to go on a work experience week on 22-25 February but had nothing arranged. Caring as we are and in order to save her from her dads company (or her dad from her) we suggested her coming to ours and get some au-pair experience (slave- and child labour combined!). Without further ado she packed her bags and is now here until Saturday 26 February when she will be flying back with me to Sweden. The rule of the house is that we have banned Swedish in the hope that her English will improve (and the house will be tidy, food will be cooked, washing up done and shirts ironed)!
Her responce? "Ah What?"

Vin Chaud or Moonshine?!?!
Why go to the Alps when you can go to the High Coast in the north of Sweden?! Had a fantastic week during half-term although it turned out to be quite quiet as the local skii slopes were not aware of the English holiday. We had to spend many miles on the snow-mobile instead and apart from the cold (down to minus 18...), it was mostly sunny and beautiful.
We had saunas and cut a hole in the ice as per normal where even Olivia jumped in. Luckily we had some warm water as well at a waterpark (indoor) with their cousins Victoria and Mårten joined us.

Olivias New Clothes
What a surprice for Olivia (and Anton) when I turned up at home in England the night before Olivias performance as Girt the washer lady in "The Emperosrs New Clothes" at her school. She had been practising for weeks and loved the lime-light. That girl is certainly no coward. The performance was wached by granny and grampy as well.

Several beers but only one Pier
Last Thursday I went back to England and part of the luggage I had with me was Pontus and Tove who spent the weekend with us. They were in London on Friday and then we ate a traditional English dinner at a traditional English restaurant with traditional English dishes such as popodoms, raita, keema nan, chipatti, tandoori, chicken tikka, and Kingfisher Beer. On Saturday, we headed down to Brighton, which is located an hour from us and ate Fish & Chips. Afterwards we dumped the kids with some friends because we were going to eat at Jamie Oliver's Italian in Guilford that evening. On Sunday I took them on a drive to show the area and rural country lanes, a picturesque pub where we enjoyed a half pint of beer, through the very, if not the most famous village "Shere" and via one of my favorite pubs, sorry Debbie, favorite restaurants, although reminiscent of a pub but certainly not to be called a pub (The Black Swan). Instead we ended up at our local pub the Windsor Castle for a pub lunch. The most successful with the weekend in other words must have been the fact that they did not have to endure Debbie kitchen skills.fredag 22 januari 2010
Fire at Olivias school
Or maybe not... Earlier today Olivias school had a visit from the Swedish Chef who was teaching them how to cook Swedish meatballs (whilst I cooked moose meatballs). When we started to fry them the fire alarm went off and all pupills, teachers and us had to evacuate! Guess who had detention today...

The Windsor Castle
Efter the Cricketers gick vi hemåt igen men stannade vid vårt närmaste vattehål och lokala pub the Windsor Castle innan vi gick hem för att laga middag.
